UPDATE: Home Invasion Suspect Killed in Officer-Involved Shooting in Bedford Co.

UPDATE: The woman's husband told reporter Angela Hatcher the suspect dragged his wife, Melissa Cochran, out of the shower, by her hair, naked into the front yard.  James Cochran said the man entered the home through their basement door.

    Leesburg - Big Island stayed alive Wednesday in the American Legion State Tournament in Leesburg.  Post 217 scored 7 runs in the 11th and beat Roanoke 12-8, Zach Duff went 6-for-7 at the plate, including three doubles, to lead the Big Island 21-hit attack. Quentin Palmer went 4-for-7 and drove in a couple of runs.

    Today's ABC 13 Team of the Week is the Rustburg Angels 9-and-10-year-old All-Stars. Rustburg won the state tournament to earn a trip to the Dixie World Series in Myrtle Beach. One of Rustburg's coaches is Katie Bigham, Katie Phillips in high school when she was a star pitcher for the Red Devils and later Liberty Flames. Katie's daughter Eden is also a pitcher. The Rustburg Angels open World Series play in Myrtle Beach Monday morning at 11 against North Carolina.
