Despite the approach of Hurricane Earl to the North Carolina Coast, the weather in our part of Virginia will remain hot and dry. Sunshine will send temperatures into the 90s today and Friday, but much cooler air will arrive early Saturday morning. Gusty breezes from the northwest will accompany the change to cooler and less humid air, and temperatures will drop down into the lower 80s over the Labor Day weekend.
