While some late night thundershowers will scoot across areas west of the Blue Ridge Parkway overnight, Central and Southside Virginia will remain partly to mostly cloudy.
The warm and humid airmass which has settled into the state will remain in place through Thursday. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms will return for Wednesday, while afternoon thunderstorms are much more likely on Thursday afternoon.
Cooler and less humid air will follow the storms for Friday and Saturday. Both days look dry with highs in the lower to middle 70s; lows drifting into the 40s.
More clouds roll back in for Sunday, leading to scattered showers on Memorial Day. Highs will continue in the 70s, as lows moderate into the 50s.
