Football Friday Preview: Martinsville Bulldogs

Martinsville, VA - Our Football Friday previews continue with a stop at Martinsville High School.

The Bulldogs look to bounce back from a tough 2-and-8 season from a year ago.

They'll start the season Friday night with a tough test at home against the Brookville Bees.

Second-year Bulldogs head coach Bobby Dalton feels much better about the program and the way things are going with a season under his belt.

He's confident his guys will be faster and stronger than anyone they play.

His players believe it too, and the seniors are buying in to one last shot at high school glory.

"It'd feel good for our class to come out on top. Getting Martinsville back to winning, how we used to be, as a dominant school and a winning program," Senior DE Kisharn Starkie said.

"We're just one big family and we're out to surprise everybody. We have a whole lot of people who are looking at other teams in the district, and we're just hoping to just sneak up on them and make big plays and win big this year," Senior QB/S Derrick Ziglar said.
