Salem, VA - The City of Salem has heeded the call from Roanoke County and are asking state legislators to ban the drug commonly known as "Spice."
Monday night's unanimous vote comes after Roanoke County passed a resolution earlier in the month.
Part of that resolution called on neighboring localities to follow suit.
Government bodies across the country are becoming increasingly concerned about the drug that is marketed as incense.
House and Senate bills are being prepared for the new session that will call on the state to make "Spice" illegal.
