Lynchburg, VA - Students at Linkhorne Middle School got a boost this week, thanks to a donation from Liberty University.
Liberty donated their old instruments to the school's band program.
In all, they gave them fifteen instruments, including seven trumpets.
Linkhorne Middle's band director says this is going to give students who normally couldn't afford instruments-- a chance to be in the band.
"In today's economy, unfortunately if you can't pass the credit check it's a hard time getting an instrument, so we do anything we can to help a kid get started in band," Linkhorne Middle Band Director Russell Pawlas said.
A guitar and saxophone were among the other instruments that Liberty donated.
