Lynchburg, VA - Crews demolished the 25-year-old Hancock Athletic Center on Liberty University's campus Thursday.
They say the building was not adequate for the growing athletic department.
The school says it will build a visitors center in its place this fall.
In the meantime, the athletics staff has temporarily relocated to Williams Stadium until the Football Operations Center and new Soccer and Track Operations Center opens.
Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. says the cost to renovate was way more than demolishing.
