What intrigues you in these match ups? Tech will be good. If they win they'll be top ten all season but as far as a BCS bowl game or maybe a national championship game will ALL rest on the shoulders of Tyrod Taylor. If he can run the passing game more effectively, the Hokies will be the class of the ACC. If not they'll float around an 8-4 to a 10-2 season.
UVa is really focusing their season around Vic Hall. Have you seen the commercials? I want to see if he can be a legit QB in the ACC and I also want to see how UVa will replace Clint Sintim and Jon Copper at the linebacker spots?
Liberty will once again be strong. From here on in, if Danny Rocco is coaching the Flames, the Flames will be good. However, they lost a lot of players at key positions. Best of luck getting the same production this year that they got last year from Brock Smith and Rashad Jennings.
VMI is still a work in progress. Sparky Woods will enter his second season with the Keydets and has a challenge in front of him. They did take a step forward in 2008 getting wins over Coastal and Presbyterian. Woods has to turn around the culture of VMI football. Here's their records over the past few years:
--------
My NBA prediction of Lakers-Cavs in the finals didn't come true but I did have the Lakers winning it all.
--------
The Carolina League season is halfway done and the Appy League season is just starting up. It's been fun to watch the Hillcats this season. They went 45-24 in the first half and clinched a playoff spot with that performance. The bad news for fans - two position players and two key relief pitchers got called up to Double-A Altoona. Pedro Alvarez, Miles Durham, Michael Dubee and Dustin Molleken all said bye-bye to the Hill City.

Quote of the Week - I name the quote, you name the movie.
"Just stay out of my way... or you'll pay! LISTEN to what I say! "
"Hey, why don't I just go eat some hay, make things out of clay, lay by the bay? I just may! What'd ya say?"
