Rainy May- by Shane Butler

If you think the month of May was wet, you would be correct.  Of the thirty-one days in the month twenty-one of them were wet.  This left only ten days of dry weather conditions for the month.

Rainfall amounts for the month were generous with all major reporting stations picking up over six inches of rain for the month.  Blacksburg would have to stick out with nearly ten inches of rain making it the second wettest May on record.
