This February, ABC 13 News will pay tribute to Black History Month by recognizing significant accomplishments of African-American trailblazers from Virginia.

In 1976, President Gerald R. Ford called on all Americans to, "seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history."  

ABC 13 will recognize those contributions on Good Morning Virginia and ABC 13 News at 6.
