boss
i have a four-wheel drive and i do not think that i am able to drive like a want to. but most people do think that because they have allweather tires, chains, or4 wheel drives are safe THEY ARE NOT. i have seen them flip before a car will. what gets me you can be driving along being careful and know that it is slick and then like hear they come doing 65 to 70 miles a hour on the streets and they are the ones who cause wrecks not us careful people. 4 wheel drives or no 4 wheel drives. i have never used my 4 wheel drive and fine that if i take my time i do better. so lets all be careful today and leave early if you have to go somewhere so that you do not go barreling down a street doing 90 and cause a wreck take the extra time and everyone will get to where they are going safe.

Please don't hit your brakes, folks, when you go over ice. Keep those wheels turning and pull off the side of the road if possible. 4 wheel drive is the WORST in icy conditions! I grew up in the north where snow tires were a must! Keep safe out there and don't travel if you don't have to!!!

I agree, damalama15. The last little bit of ice we had caused a TON of wrecks. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go SLOW tomorrow and keep a large distance between yourself and cars in front of you. As just mentioned, just because you drive an SUV doesn't mean you can't get by with flying down the road. Ice doesn't care what you drive, and I don't appreciate those of you with the idea you're invincible risking my life when you get into your vehicle.

should do a public service annoucment for Lynchburg drivers, letting them know if there is snow and roads are slick, just because the speed limit sign is 55 doesn't mean it is safe to go 55 or 65. also to people with SUVs that think 4 wheel drive lets them drive the way they want in any weather, it doesn't matter on ice. so people of Lynchburg when the roads are slick with winter weather slow down, you need to drive below the speed limit. Cars don't flip over if you were carefully driving in winter weather, they may however slide off the road and end up with no damage. only when you are speeding on snow and ice do they flip. thanks cause i don't want to be held up in traffic because a brillant Lynchburg driver thought they could drive the speed limit on snow and ice.
