Roanoke, VA - Now an update to a story we first brought you in November. An 18-month old child from Haiti, is set to leave our area with his life saved. Chrisno Jeudi was born with a rare condition called Hydrocephaly. Water kept building up around his brain causing his head to expand far more than his body could support.
He had surgery to drain the water and today he was in Roanoke where he received a specially fitted brace allowing him to sit up and eventually walk.
Vanessa Carpenter, Angel Missions Haiti - "It's wonderful to see him doing so well. So many patients die while they are on our waiting list and Chrisno is one who is not going to die. He's going to have a chance at life."
Vanessa Carpenter with Angel Missions arranged for Chrisno to get the surgery and will take him back to Haiti Saturday. A Danville family provided foster care while Chrisno was in our area.
