Doctors say about 80-percent of stones pass on their own.  They are not caused by excessive calcium, but too much oxalate.  It's found in dark green leafy vegetable, iced tea and beer.  The best way to eliminate or avoid kidney stones -- drink lots of water.

I so believe what was said about drinking plenty of water. Since I started drinking plenty of water every day, I haven't had any problems with kidney stones, (the year 2000). From May 1995-August 2000, I had 3 kidney stone surgeries and I passed 2 other large stones. (During this 5 year period, I wasn't drinking very much water. I was drinking soda.)

Hoping this information will help someone else.
