Who is Slade Woodson?

So who exactly is Slade Woodson? We did some digging and found out. This is not his first brush with the law. Everyone is being pretty tight-lipped about Woodson. None were willing to go on camera.
However his MySpace pages and his criminal record say a lot. In 2007, he was charged with two counts of auto theft and two counts of arson. Officials say he stole two trucks, drove them extensively, then set them on fire. Those charged were later reduced but Woodson was still sentenced to 12 months in jail with six months suspended.
On his MySpace page, Woodson describes himself as a "poor country boy tryin' to survive" and says he's had his heart broken several times. Last year, Woodson graduated from Western Albemarle High School, where he established himself as a student athlete -- finding success as a pole vaulter on the track team.
Of the people we met Friday in Crozet, none claimed to have a close relationship with Woodson, though many said they knew of him. He was described as "strange" and "obnoxious." Several people referenced his now infamous orange Gremlin, saying he frequently "spun tires" and drove erratically through town. Police say Woodson used that car to travel to and from shootings Thursday.
As we said, Woodson has only been charged for shooting into a bank in Waynesboro.
