The Amherst County Sheriff's Office says someone threw a burning bottle of flammable liquid onto the roof of an area business and now they want your help finding who did it. Deputies say just before three this morning, someone threw the burning glass bottle onto the roof of Dixie Outfitters in Madison Heights.
The fire burned out quickly. If you have any information about this, call Crime Stoppers (web) at 1-888-798-5900.
Also in Amherst County, authorities say two men broke into a home on Harris Road in Madison Heights just after midnight. They say the two men wearing masks and armed with a shotgun and semi automatic pistol, demanded items from the residents.
