Driver Says She Fell Asleep

Lynchburg Police (web) say she fell asleep at the wheel and now she faces charges. Teresa Bane of Amherst told police she fell asleep at the wheel Wednesday afternoon. She says she woke up suddenly near the Campbell Avenue exit on Route 460 East and 29 North.
Bane hit the exit sign and crashed into the median. She was taken to the hospital, but is doing okay. Police have charged her with reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.
