A Lynchburg woman is out thousands of dollars worth of jewelry after a burglar broke into her home. It's our Crime Stoppers (web) report. Someone threw a rock through a glass door at her home on Page Street Saturday April 12th.
Deborah King says much of the jewelry was sentimental to her. One thing she's not sure she'll ever get back -- her sense of security.
Deborah King, Crime Victim - "Now I've last Saturday I put a security system in, unfortunately a little too late to help me with this robbery just for the peace of mind because that's what you lose the peace of mind."
The suspect also stole a Dell Laptop, and a Red Lowe's brand push lawnmower. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-798-5900.
Also, the persons who provided tip numbers 08-065, 08-070, 08-011, 08-014, and 08-031 need to contact Lieutenant J.C. Bauserman with the Lynchburg Police (web) Department at 455-3747 to collect reward money. The call should be placed Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm.
