After playing 17 of their first 23 games on the road, the Hillcats are just beginning the longest homestand in Hillcats history. Game two of a 13-game stretch Tuesday night against Myrtle Beach. Lynchburg was up 4-1 but the Pelicans come back and score seven in a row.
Here in the 8th, Tyler Flowers crushes a shot to center. He was 4-for-5 with 3 runs and an RBI. Myrtle Beach now up 8-4. Bottom 8, Jim Negrych continues to lead the league in hitting with shots like these. This double to the wall scores two. He was 2-for-4 with 3 ribs. Cats down 8-6. He's now hitting .391.
But in the 9th, Lynchburg goes down 1-2-3. Myrtle Beach takes game two 8-6 the final.
In Salem, the Avalanche score five in the first inning, but lose in 12 innings to Kinston 6-5.
