Lacrosse action, E.C. Glass hosted the Forest Lacrosse Club, the Forest team hoping to soon be added as a varsity sport at JF. The Hilltoppers would take command of this one early, Charles Himel with a sweet pass to Steven Webb for the first of his five goals on the night. Himel had six assists.
Just a few seconds later, Webb returns the favor to Himel for one of his three goals. Greg Knabel also scored three goals for the Hilltoppers, one right here. Later, Glass again on the attack, and it's Himel with a couple of fakes and then beating the keeper.
The Hilltoppers way too tough for a young Forest team, Glass wins it 22-1.
Area scores phoned in, girls’ soccer, Liberty wins at Amherst County, Jefferson Forest blanks Rustburg 10-0.
Boys’ soccer, Nelson stays unbeaten in the Dogwood with a 4-1 win over Altavista.
And girls’ tennis, E.C. Glass blanks Franklin County to finish off an unbeaten district regular season. And Altavista goes to 4-and-0 in the Dogwood, winning at Nelson.
