James- known as Jamie by his friends- died on his way home from the Junior-Senior Banquet after-party at Lynchburg Chirstian Academy.
State Police say older brother, Charles was behind the wheel and fell asleep and their P-T cruiser ran off route 460 in Appomattox County. James was in the passenger's seat. He died after the car flipped and hit a tree. His brother Charles is okay. An outpouring of emotion from his community shows James Holmes had already touched so many lives.
