Averett's New Woman President

Averett (web) University's newest leader will go down in history. Their 24th president will be Dr. Tiffany Franks. Local and campus officials welcomed her to Danville Wednesday.
The last time Averett had a female president was in 1966, but she was only an interim for a few months. Franks currently serves as Executive Vice President at Greensboro College. She says she wants to work on making Averett more visible in the public eye.
Dr. Tiffany Franks, New Averett President - "I will do everything possible to make sure that people are connected to our students, connected to our faculty that we’re connected to them."
Franks will begin her term as president July 1st.
