Accused Amherst County Killer, Tim Wright Jr., made his first court appearance Thursday morning. Wright was given a court-appointed attorney. His preliminary hearing has been set for June 26th.
Meanwhile, investigators are now continuing to search for a motive in the shooting. A witness has come forward saying he was in Wright's truck, when it all happened. He says Wright grabbed his (the witness’s) handgun, leaned out the window and fired at least five shots into Justin Baumgardner's truck. Police say the gun has not been recovered and Wright continues to maintain his innocence.
The family of Justin Baumgardner has made funeral plans. The public visitation is set for this Saturday from 2:00 to 6:00pm. The funeral will be held Monday at 10:00am. Everything is at Whitten Funeral Home in Madison Heights.
