Construction Worker Dies

The Bedford County Sheriff's Office is trying to track down the family of a construction worker who died on the job Thursday. We're told it was a young man of Mexican origin working on the Farmington at Forest development.
He fell ten feet from the first floor to the basement at about 11:00am. Co-workers found him dead. The Department of Labor is investigating any possible violations. We checked with the county's planning department. They say the builder, Thomas Builders of Virginia, is up to date with all permits.
