VT Police Officers Honored

They stormed Norris Hall as a gunman was inside. Thursday, Virginia Tech police officers were honored for their actions on April 16th, 2007 with a Governor's Award for teamwork. The awards are given out each year to recognize notable efforts by state employees.
The commendation reads "Officers chose to run toward the gunfire and an unknown risk without regard for their own safety." Seung-Hui Cho killed himself before officers were able to reach him.
