Proposed Rock Quarry Plans Change

There's been a change of plans for a proposed rock quarry in Campbell County. Boxley Materials told Evington residents about their plans back in March. Now, the company has pulled its application for a permit to build the quarry.
Boxley officials say it's because they're not sure the county's rules allow a quarry in land zoned for agriculture. But, they say, this is only a delay and they're not giving up their plans. Boxley can either wait for supervisors to clarify the rules or get the land rezoned heavy industrial before applying again.
