Fatality Victim Not Wearing Seat Belt

A woman from Hurt is dead after an accident in Pittsylvania County Friday night. Police say 40-year-old June Faith Welch ran off the side of Route 638 just east of 641 before midnight.
A state police spokesman says her car struck an embankment and overturned. Welch was not wearing her seat belt. Police say they are still investigating the crash.
