Chatham, VA - The old Chatham Elementary School will go to the town of Chatham, if the town accepts the responsibility.
After a public hearing Tuesday night, the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors voted 5 to 2 to give the school to the town with no strings attached.
The town of Chatham is in the process applying for grants to help renovate the building. Supervisors estimate the cost could be several million dollars.
