Big Island, VA - Amateur radio enthusiasts are joining forces with the government to help you get ready for the transition to digital-only television.
On Tuesday, the Lynchburg Amateur Radio Club hosted a presentation at the Big Island Library. It's one of several outreach efforts to make sure no one loses their TV signal after June 12th.
Organizers know they have their work cut out for them. "I think there's always going to be that ten percent that come June 13, they're going to say, 'my TV set is not working, I will call WSET and say, what happened to your signal? I can't get your signal anymore'," presenter Larry Stanecker said.
You still have a chance to catch one of the presentations. See the schedule below.
- Bedford Central Library on Wednesday, May 27th, at 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
- Moneta Library on Thursday, May 28th, at 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
