Pittsylvania County, VA - Two women are dead after a crash in Pittsylvania County late Saturday morning. Rescue workers pronounced 73-year-old Alice Kates Atkins of Danville dead at the scene. Her passenger, 91-year-old Violet Kates of South Boston, died later at Danville Regional Medical Center. We're told they crashed with another car near the intersection of Routes 360 and 726. Both were wearing their seat belts. There is still no word on charges and police are investigating.
