Gleaning For The World is set to ship more needed supplies to the people of Myanmar.
Wednesday, they prepped about 23,000 jars of baby food, 14,000 pairs of shoes and enough powdered-meal mix to feed more than 100,000 people.
The shipment will go out by the end of the week. Mount Comfort United Methodist Church in Appomattox County paid for that shipping, about $5,000 in all.
Claude Moore, Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church - "We know where it is going, we know what it is being used for and number one is we know it is being used properly."
You can help Gleaning For The World this weekend just by going to church. More than 2,000 people in our area are expected to take up an offering for Gleaning on Sunday. All the funds will go toward helping Myanmar.
