New Coach in Appomattox

Appomattox County High School has a new head football coach. Ben Martin, an assistant at Amherst County the past four seasons, takes on his first head coaching job. Martin, a former Heritage and Liberty Flames (web) player, worked with the offensive and defensive linemen at Amherst.
He takes over an Appomattox team that made quite a turnaround last year, going 8-and-2 in the regular season and making the playoffs for the first time in eight years. The previous season, the Raiders had gone 2-and-8. Ben Martin the new Appomattox County football coach.
