Two Altavista police officers are back to work after they shot and killed a Campbell County man in May.
The Commonwealth's Attorney says 57-year-old Michael Long was drunk when he went to the home of his daughter's boyfriend. Long had a shotgun and fired through that home -- hitting another trailer.
When Officers Brian Davis and Larry Rigney arrived they told Long to drop his weapon. A State Police investigation determined the officers
Long was hit six times -- once in the head and abdomen.
