Hurt, VA - Pittsylvania County investigators have released the names of the two people who died in a possible murder-suicide. They are 46-year-old David King Pippin of Altavista, and 36-year-old Norma Farmer Henley of Hurt.
Investigators say Henley worked at the G&S Market near Hurt, and was emptying the trash behind the store Tuesday afternoon. Deputies say Pippin, who family say was her ex boyfriend was waiting outside. Investigators say it looks as though Pippin shot Henley to death, then shot and killed himself. Henley's family claims Pippin was stalking her.
Many of her loved ones gathered near the store to mourn her death. She was a favorite for many who visited the store.
Kristin Nelms, who lives near G&S Market, said, "It was her smile. I really liked her smile. She just had the biggest smile of anyone I've probably ever met. It was really awesome to know her."
Investigators say if you have any information, they'd like you to call Crimestoppers at 800-791-0044.
