Pocono, PA - Tony Stewart rolled the dice Sunday at Pocono and came home a winner.
Stewart gambled he could drive the final 41 laps Sunday without making a pit stop. And with crew chief, Floyd native and Virginia Tech grad Darian Grubb in his ear telling him when to back down and conserve fuel, "Smoke" made it to victory lane. Stewart is the first owner/driver to win a Cup race since Ricky Rudd in 1998.
Tony Stewart, First Sprint Win as Team Owner - "You hate to have to kinda be in that situation, but unfortunately that's a theme here when we come to Pocono a lot of times with it being such a large track like this."
