Blairs, VA - A Pittsylvania County family is cleaning up after their home became the scene of a car wreck Thursday afternoon.
It happened on Twin Arch Road near Blairs. Police say 82-year-old Janice Haymore ran into the home. Her daughter, 65-year-old Clarencie Moore, was with her.
Judith Alderson and
her granddaughter were at home when it happened. They say they live so far off the road, they thought they were safe.
Judith Alderson, Homeowner - "Just all of a sudden we heard this tremendous noise this crash sound, and so we immediately got up and ran toward the front of the house and we could see a car out here and we came out to check and see if everyone was okay."
Haymore and her daughter were taken to the hospital. No word on their injuries.
Police say it doesn't look like Haymore tried to brake and officials say she was very disoriented.
Police estimate $20,000 to $25,000 worth of damage.
