Roanoke Co., VA - A Floyd County man who faced murder charges in Roanoke County is off the hook after a four day trial.
Jeffrey Martin Young was originally charged with first degree murder in the hit and run death of Thomas Farrell, but the charge was reduced this week to involuntary manslaughter. Then, a jury came back with not guilty verdicts on Thursday, in both the manslaughter and hit and run charges.
Young still faces charges in Floyd County for allegedly running over a woman and then beating her.
