A 21-year-old is behind bars after police say he stabbed a 21-year-old Virginia Tech student. Around 1:30 a.m. Friday, Blacksburg police say Jonathan Samuels pulled out a knife during a verbal fight.

Police say Samuels stabbed the Tech student in the arm. Samuels was also cut on his finger. Emergency workers took both men to Montgomery Regional Hospital, where they were treated and released.

The incident happened near Attitudes Bar and Grill on Prices Fork Road in Blacksburg. Samuels has been charged with malicious wounding.
