House Fire Investigated

Fire investigators will be in Big Island Monday trying to figure out what started a house fire earlier Sunday night. Fire crews from Big Island, Boonsboro and Bedford all came out to fight the blaze that broke out shortly before 9:00pm.
It happened on Cody Street off Route 122 in Big Island. Officials believe the fire may have started in the kitchen. People were inside the home at the time, but officials say thankfully no one was hurt.
Capt. Larry Whorley, Big Island Fire Dept. - "Everybody was out when I got on scene I was first one here... all the family was out no one was inside, so that was a good thing."
Officials don't know the extent of the damage yet.
