A big mess at a Halifax County store Friday afternoon. A transfer truck full of logs rolled down a hill and right into the building. We're told no one was inside the truck when it started to roll into the Punk's Self Service grocery store in Nathalie.
It left a giant hole in the side of the store. We're also told that those inside the store were able to escape without injury.
Ricky Morman - "I didn't know what it was all I know I'm getting up outta there. That's all there is to it, know what I mean. It's a scary feeling. I mean real scary."
Patrica Thaxton - "That truck was very close to that light pole right there. You could easily hit that, knock the wires in the store. It was a grace of God didn't none of us get hurt."
We're told a bunch of volunteers are already at the store, working to fix it up.
