We now know where the tanker truck came from, that ran off Route 220 in Roanoke Saturday night and caught fire. The 8,500 gallon gasoline tanker truck was based out of Raphine, Virginia. The driver worked for WILCOHESS.
Police have not yet released the identity of the driver, whose body was found near the tanker, badly burned. Investigators still do not know what caused the one-vehicle accident.
The President of WILCOHESS released this statement Monday, "The entire WILCOHESS family extends their thoughts and prayers to our driver’s family at this very difficult time. We are working closely with the investigating authorities to determine the cause."
