Cantaloupe Time

Good food, entertainment and lots of 'lopes! You can find it all at the Virginia Cantaloupe Festival this Friday. Halifax County says they've been for preparing for 10 months and they're ready.
Shelia Bradley, Former Festival Chairman - "It's a grand opportunity to showcase what we have here in Halifax, our people, our agricultural products and our businesses are supportive of us."
The festival starts at 4:00 and will go until 10:00. Each ticket will cost you $30. The County says they expect to sell out. Singer Delbert McClinton will headline the event. You can get tickets up to 2:00 Friday afternoon from the Chamber of Commerce.

Funny.....I just ate some Halifax cantaloupe minutes before I logged on to the WSET site. There are few things better than a good cantaloupe and few things worse than a bad one. Life is too short to settle for bad cantaloupe. Halifax lopes are the real deal!!
