Danville, VA -
Organizers of a TEA or "Taxed Enough Already" party in Danville Saturday hope to pressure freshman Congressman Tom Perriello to vote against President Barack Obama (web | news | bio) on Health Care reform.
The event is one of many TEA parties planned across Virginia. Those against the President's health care ideas say it's a form of socialized medicine.
Those in favor, say it will grant all Americans access to health care. TEA party organizers hope to persuade Perriello to vote against party lines.
Nigel Coleman, Danville TEA Party Organizer - "If we get Mr. Perriello to come over, then maybe we can get two or three more. And then four or five more. If that would have happened on cap and trade, then we would have won that fight!"
Nigel Coleman says former Congressman Virgil Goode (web) and Delegate Danny Marshall will be among the guest speakers at the event. It begins at noon in Ballou Park.
