Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg's Plaza shopping center is seeing growth, and it comes with new name- kind of. Many of you remember the Plaza was originally named Pittman Plaza.
Now, the latest conceptual plan submitted by owner, Liberty University
(web) , has it dubbed it "Pittman City Centre."
Project director Lee Beaumont says they want the public to see it as an area with new life, while still connecting with its lengthy history.
Beaumont says Liberty has invested around $1 million on the shopping center since it was donated to the school back in 2007.
