Danville, VA -
Hundreds of Danville teens are already signed up to hang out at a teen center, re-opening Saturday.
The Teen Zone closed abruptly last May after the co-manager was arrested for allegedly having more than 90 pounds of marijuana at his house.
The teen hang-out has new management and a new look. Christopher Wilson is the new manager of the Matrix Youth Center.
Wilson says he is not affiliated with the previous owner, and plans to run a clean, safe teen hang-out, focused on respect and self-improvement.
Wilson says he will require collared shirts for boys, and the dress equivalent for girls. Plus, he's built a VIP lounge in the dance area, strictly available to honor roll students.
Christopher Wilson, Manager: Matrix Youth Center "Tomorrow night, the children in the community and the city of Danville are actually going to have somewhere officially to go. And that's to come out to the Matrix Youth Center."
The Grand Opening event goes from 7:00-midnight Saturday night and will include live entertainment, dancing, board games, and pizza.
