Danville, VA - The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Danville is changing locations and reshaping its now be called the Salvation Army Family Store, and it's moving from the former Hancock Fabric Building to the Danville Plaza, next to Harris Teeter.

It will double its showroom space. And there will now be a debit/credit card reader.  Captain Allen Tanner with the Salvation Army says-these days- they're getting more business than ever before.

"Especially with the economy, once it took the downturn, we seen several more families coming in and actually tell us that they depend on us to help them with their needs and hopefully this will give us, broaden that for us," Tanner said.

The new store opens next Thursday the 9th at 10:00 a.m. Tanner says they are still in need of donations to fill the store.

The Salvation Army will pick them up from you, just call 799-0488.
