Lynchburg, VA -
The losses continue to pile up for the Hillcats. In their last 8 home games, they're 1-and-7. It was a full house Friday night. They saw Winston-Salem take a 3-nothing lead in the first. They added to it in the 7th. Salvador Sanchez launches this pitch over the head of Jared Keel in left. That scores one to make it 5-nothing. Dash starter Justin Edwards was cruising until the 7th. He was throwing a 3-hitter when Matt Hague crushes this pitch into the gap in right-center. Jordy Mercer goes from first to third on the double. He'd later score to make it 5-1. But that's as close as the 'Cats would get. They managed just six hits and one run. Lynchburg falls 5-to-1 and they're now 2-and-7 in the second half of the season.
