Lynchburg, VA - The Hillcats were looking for their third straight victory Wednesday night and second in a row against the Wilmington Blue Rocks.
Tuesday night's ninth-inning hero for the 'Cats Kris Watts back behind the plate. The Blue Rocks jumped on Lynchburg pitching early, striking for three runs in the second, three in the third to build a 6-1 lead.
Again Wednesday night, though, back came Lynchburg. Watts chopping one by second to bring in Eric Fryer to make it 6-2. Next inning in the fifth, Alex Presley tags one to right, that baby's gone for a two-run shot as the 'Cats sliced the margin to 6-4. Lynchburg got within one, but the Blue Rocks hang on tonight and win 7-5.
