Church Pays Congregation's Bills
Starting this week, Burning Bush Church of God in Christ is giving every active member- all 40 of them- a check to pay one past-due bill.
The Pastor says one lady's light bill is $1,700. The other bills averaged around a couple hundred bucks.
The church paid Lynnette Coriell’s rent. She said, "I could run all the way to Gladys and back because I didn't expect it. I'm just at a loss for words."
"You tithe to the Lord where He asks you. He said He will give it back but you don't know which way it is coming. In this case, they may be receiving some of the tithes that they gave to the Church," Pastor William Mosby said.
The Pastor says many members of the church have lost their jobs and some recently had their unemployment benefits run out.
