Area Church Aiding in Midwest Flood Relief
posted 10:54 pm Sun August 26, 2007 - Lynchburg, VA
Folks in our area are sending much needed supplies to the Midwest after disastrous floods in that region. Gleaning for the World sent three tractor trailer loads and they are hoping to send even more. The congregation at Timberlake United Methodist Church is collecting money right now. They have agreed to sponsor one of the loads.
Rev. Larry Davies, Timberlake UMC - "With ready to eat meals, blankets and paper products and I believe some water."
Davies says this is part of a commitment to support Gleaning for the World in their efforts around the country and the world.
