Wednesday's "Football Friday" preview takes us to Appomattox County. After coaching as an assistant with Amherst, Ben Martin takes over the head coaching job with the Raiders.

Last year, Appomattox went from 2-and-8 to 8-and-2, earning a playoff berth and many of the players from that team are back, including QB Kenny Scott and tailback Rico Rose.

Ben Martin, 1st Yr Appomattox Coach - "The biggest philosophy probably that I'm bringing here is we want to put speed out on the field and I think we have that speed, especially in our junior class and we want to get those talented kids out on the field."

Kenny Scott, Appomattox Jr. QB - "I mean we got a new coach, new system and everything. I mean I like it to tell you the truth. I think we'll do really good, better than we did last year."

Clifton Ray, Appomattox Sr. TE - "My desire is just to go far. I mean just keep winning games and then it'll come. Championships will come, too."
